Years ago the ApHC certified the first 4,932horses to attain permanent status by production and through inspection as Foundation Appaloosas, and gave these horses the “F” prefix before their number.
The Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry wants to preserve these Foundation lines and we welcome Foundation Bred Appaloosas carrying at least 75% Appaloosa blood within a five generation pedigree into our organization.
